Martin had advanced steadily in his career in a large, international insurance company.
He held the position of regional director, reporting into the country director, when a re-organisation initiative was announced. Several different task forces were formed to identify strategic initiatives and efficiencies.
Martin felt threatened and started working with a coach. As the internal political issues grew, Martin’s coach referred him to Lani.
“My job, my responsibilities, my team – I might lose it all. But, not knowing who I could trust internally, I wanted somebody externally, who could help me fight.”
Mergers, reorganisations, restructurings – all means change. This can be a stressful and emotionally demanding time.

As the stakes were high, Martin selected VIP Priority Sessions as he knew, he would need to access Lani for advice at short notice and outside normal business hours.
The first step was ascertain Martin’s commitment to his job and the organisation, which is strong. We developed a plan on how Martin could position himself within the reorganizational project.
Martin received sparring on documents and presentations during some very taxing months and ended up with a promotion.
